50 years after her father started Plummer Piano, Connie Plummer-Thomas is back home with a new piano gallery of her own.

Back from three decades spent in The Golden State, Rapid City native Connie Plummer-Thomas and husband/business partner, Tony Thomas take on her father’s former company with a brand new piano showroom. The Black Hills Piano Gallery, a full-service piano sales, rental and recital venue opens November 1st in Rapid City.

Thirty years in California only strengthened Connie Plummer-Thomas’ longing for her home and heritage. After a childhood spent amongst pianos at her family’s store, Connie has continued to work in the piano sales/rental industry her entire adult life. “Pianos are in my blood. My family started Plummer Piano when I was a few months old. So, really, my passion for pianos has been ingrained in me since birth! It is great to be back home with my husband, doing the job I love in our brand new store,” Connie Plummer-Thomas said.

Her father’s store has changed hands and focus since the days he ran it. Plummer-Thomas vows to honor her family’s roots with a showroom and staff committed to promoting and educating Rapid City and the surrounding communities in the piano musical arts. “My wife had hoped to reclaim her father’s store but for many reasons we have started our own piano company instead. One that caters exclusively to the piano enthusiast,” said Tony Thomas. Come and see Connie Plummer-Thomas and her husband put their musical chops to the test. The Black Hills Piano Gallery is a full-service piano showroom. They offer an extensive line of premier pianos, piano rentals, all-ages instructional lessons and the newly built Tuscany Hall, a one hundred seat recital venue and community events space.
